Akène, Native Seeds is a Quebec-based company specializing in the production and distribution of native plant seeds. Founded in 2020, Akène’s mission is to restore biodiversity by providing locally sourced seeds adapted to Eastern Canada’s ecosystems. We work with partner growers, seed collectors, and researchers to build a sustainable and innovative seed sector. Our seeds serve individuals as well as professionals in ecological restoration, landscaping, forestry, and infrastructure.
